Come home to the wisdom already living inside you.

An 8-day journey through nature, Maasai ceremony, and deep silence & attunement to the Field. For people ready to stop running and start listening and feading from the Field.

Mukuru Sacred Site, Northern Tanzania | Nature, ceremony, silence | Designed and facilitated for your group

Next open date: 22 February to 2 March 2027. Send your people to join this group.

Is this for you?

You have been carrying something for a while now. Not a crisis, not a breakdown, but something quieter. A feeling that you have drifted from yourself. That the life you are living is not quite the one you would choose if you stopped to choose.

You may be at a crossroads: a change in work, relationship, health, or identity.

Or you may be functioning well by every external measure, and that is precisely why the emptiness is so confusing.

You are not looking for answers. You are looking for a place where the real questions can finally surface.

This retreat is for you if:

•       You feel disconnected from yourself and can no longer ignore it

•       You are drawn to nature, ceremony, and indigenous wisdom

•       You want to experience nature as medicine, not just scenery

•       You are ready to slow down in a way that daily life does not allow

•       You have tried therapy, coaching, and personal development, and want something that goes deeper

•       You are open to being moved, challenged, and genuinely surprised by yourself

What the eight days hold

This retreat is not built around a fixed programme. It is built around you. Around what arises when you slow down enough to hear it.

The eight days unfold at Mukuru Sacred Site, a valley in Northern Tanzania cared for by Maasai Wisdomkeepers for generations. Here, there is no schedule to optimise, no performance required. The land does much of the work simply by being what it is.

Highlights

•       Sacred journeys & reflection in a safe, intentional, and experienced container

•       Breathwork, guided meditation, and somatic grounding practices

•       Walks and hikes through the sacred landscapes alongside Maasai Wisdomkeepers

•       Participation in Maasai rituals and ceremonies — forgiveness, healing, visioning, the

elements

•       Hike to the Whistling Cave on the Mountain of Life, a place of silence and deep listening

•       A sunrise hike to the summit of Mukuru Mountain with views of Kilimanjaro and Meru

•       A sacred ritual at the ancient Wisdom Tree

•       Evenings around the fire under vast open skies

•       Bodywork, massage, and spaciousness to rest and integrate

What people carry home

The eight days may move you in ways you did not expect. That is the nature of this work. What most people find is that what they came looking for was not quite what they needed and what they needed was already there, waiting.

About the plant wisdom of cacao

This retreat includes guided work with 100% ceremonial cacao, approached with care, clear intention, and many years of experience. The ceremonies take place in a safe, structured setting and are held by facilitators who have worked with cacao for over a decade.

Cacao is not used recreationally here. It is used in the tradition of ceremony, as a tool for inner clarity, healing, and reconnection. You will be fully prepared before any ceremony and fully supported through the experience and integration.

The retreat uses pure cacao in ceremonial form. If you use antidepressant medication, please let us know during your intake call, cacao is contraindicated with some medications.

If you have never worked with cacao before, you are welcome. Many participants come with no prior experience. Your openness matters more than your preparation.

Inner Alignment & Embodiment Guide

Cindy has spent years living in Northern Tanzania and building deep relationships with the Maasai at Mukuru Sacred Site. A certified mBIT Master Coach & Trainer, cultural anthropologist, and author of The Medicine: Personal Tales of Awakening and Inner Transformation, she brings both the credibility of lived experience and the warmth of someone who has walked this path herself.

She guides with calm presence, honest intuition, and genuine care for each person in the group.

Transformational Guide & Expedition Leader

Marco has spent more than twenty years guiding wilderness expeditions and transformational journeys. He has lived and worked in Maasai-land for over twelve years, first leading water and sanitation projects for international NGOs, and increasingly as a guide for people seeking a deeper encounter with themselves and the land.

His background in biology and environmental science shapes how he works with leadership, nature, and the body. He brings steadiness, honest directness, and the ability to hold both depth and lightness in the same conversation.

Testimonials

“This retreat was a truly transformative experience. I loved immersing myself in the elements, each offering a unique way to reconnect with myself and the natural world. The combination of sacred ceremonies, guided practices, and the stunning location in Maasai-land created a deep sense of harmony and alignment”

— Tina, Managing Director

“What I will remember most about this retreat is the wisdom and warmth of the Maasai people, whose traditions and connection to the land were deeply inspiring. I’ll cherish the experience of simply being instead of constantly doing, with the rare gift of space to truly breathe and reconnect with myself.”

— Nicole, Therapist

"The special moments and conversations with each other. Especially the breakfast on the picnic blankets, watching the stars, and the moment at the sacred spot (barefoot!) will always stay with me. My first cacao ceremony, the moment by the wisdom tree, and the closing with the Maasai all have captures my heart and soul."

— Nathalie, Government officer
