When thinking harder stops working.
A 9-day nature, reflection and walking retreat for leaders seeking inner clarity, direction, and a way forward that feels true.
Northern Tanzania, Maasai-land | Body, mind, soul | Designed and facilitated for your team
Next open date: 8-16 February 2027. Send your people to join this group.
Is this for you?
You carry real responsibility. Decisions, people, direction. You have built something that works, and you care deeply about doing it well.
And yet, somewhere along the way, thinking harder stopped being enough. The answers that used to come clearly are slower now.
You may feel more reactive than you'd like, less certain about what you actually want, or dimly aware that the way you've been leading is costing you something.
The challenge isn't your strategy. It's that you've been running on thinking alone and leadership takes more than that.
This retreat is for you if you recognise any of this:
• You are successful by most measures, but feel disconnected from what truly matters to you
• You make decisions well, but feel like something in your gut isn't being listened to
• You lead others clearly, but have lost the thread of your own direction
• You know you need to slow down, but don't know how to do that without stepping away entirely
• You're ready for something real but not a workshop, not a framework, not more content
What the nine days look like?
The Embodied Leadership Trail begins at Mukuru Sacred Site, a quiet valley in Northern Tanzania, cared for by Maasai Wisdomkeepers for generations. Life slows down here naturally. That is the point.
You don't arrive to be taught. You arrive to stop. To listen to what has been waiting beneath the noise.
Highlights
• Four days at Mukuru Sacred Site with caves, mountains, sacred landscapes, and the
steady presence of the Maasai
• A sunrise hike to the Mountain of Life, a night under the stars
• Meeting the ancient Wisdom Tree, a site of prayer, silence, and deep listening
• Three days walking through remote Maasai-land: highlands, volcanic terrain, crater
landscapes rarely visited by travellers
• A final descent into the Great Rift Valley near Ol Doinyo Lengai, one of the most active
volcanoes on earth
• Guided reflective and embodied practices woven through the days like breathwork,
bodybased inquiry, shared conversations
• Nights camping under vast star-filled skies with full expedition support
What participants leave with
Most people don't arrive with a clear goal. They arrive because they know something needs to shift, even if they can't name what. The nine days create the conditions and the rest happens on its own.
What typically changes
-
Not a new plan, but a clearer inner compass. A stronger sense of what you actually want, separate from what you think you should want.Description text goes here
-
You'll make decisions the same way you always have, but with more access to what your body and gut already know. Thinking and feeling working together, not against each other.
-
The sustained time in nature, silence, and natural rhythm resets something in the body that no city holiday touches. Most participants notice this within the first three days.
-
This is not a retreat you recover from. It's one you integrate into. People leave with a different pace and practical anchors for maintaining it when life speeds back up.

Who guides you
Inner Alignment & Embodiment Guide
Cindy has spent many years living in Northern Tanzania, building deep relationships with the Maasai at Mukuru Sacred Site. With a background in Cultural Anthropology, Development Studies, and leadership experience across corporate Europe and Africa, she brings a rare combination: genuine understanding of this land and its people, and the practical knowledge of what it means to lead in the real world.
She is a certified mBIT Master Coach & Trainer and the author of The Medicine: Personal Tales of Awakening and Inner Transformation. Her approach is calm, intuitive, and grounded in years of working at the intersection of nature, culture, and inner transformation.
Transformational Guide & Expedition Leader
Marco has spent more than twenty years guiding wilderness expeditions and transformational journeys. He has lived and worked in Maasai-land for over twelve years, first leading water and sanitation projects for international NGOs, and increasingly as a guide for people seeking a deeper encounter with themselves and the land.
His background in biology and environmental science shapes how he works with leadership, nature, and the body. He brings steadiness, honest directness, and the ability to hold both depth and lightness in the same conversation.
